Beled-Hawo city in the Gedo region has returned to calm after several days of intense fighting between Federal Government and Jubaland forces.
Following peace efforts, federal troops fully took control of key strategic locations, including the district headquarters and police station.
Jubaland forces reportedly retreated toward the Kenyan border without resistance.
Communication and business activities have resumed, and security is now under the Somali Federal Government’s control, bringing relief to local residents.
