Netanyahu told Fox News that Israel had warned Britain that an Iran-backed attack could take place inside the country, shortly before it emerged that an attack targeting RAF Fairford, a Royal Air Force base in western England, had been foiled.
The base was being used by U.S. fighter aircraft that had participated in the war with Iran.
Netanyahu said that instead of listening to the warning, the British government responded by imposing sanctions on Israeli entities.
He described this as surprising.
During the interview, he also strongly criticized Britain’s ruling Labour Party, which has been putting significant pressure on Netanyahu over Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories and decisions concerning the displacement of Palestinians.
