U.S. President Donald Trump is planning to host a high-level international summit on the situation in Gaza during his visit to Egypt this week.
The summit is expected to bring together leaders and ministers from major European and Arab countries, although Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not be in attendance.
The main objective of the summit will be to address the Gaza conflict and work towards implementing a lasting peace agreement, with Egypt playing a central role in the process.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has also extended an invitation to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz Merz to participate in the signing of a Gaza-related agreement, underscoring the spirit of international cooperation aimed at supporting peace and reconciliation efforts in the region.
