Supreme Court of Somalia has announced that it has not yet received any official or valid election results related to the elections held in South West State.
In a statement issued by the Supreme Court, the institution said it has not been provided with any legal documents confirming the election outcome, as political disputes and intense debate continue to surround the electoral process in South West State.
Court officials called on political stakeholders and election committees to uphold transparency and the rule of law, while avoiding any actions that could trigger political tension or security instability.
Reports surrounding the delay and controversy over the election have increased public concern, with opposition politicians and supporters of various candidates reacting differently to the ongoing situation.
