The Somali National Army (SNA), particularly the Danab Special Forces, carried out a planned offensive operation in the areas of Toratorow, Aliyow Barrow, Doonka, and Farsoley in the Lower Shabelle region.
The operation targeted bases and hideouts used by Al-Shabaab militants. During the offensive, government forces destroyed several facilities and shelters that the group had been using to regroup, organize, and plan attacks.
Military officials leading the operation said its objective was to weaken Al-Shabaab’s operational capabilities and eliminate the group’s strongholds in the areas where the operation was conducted.
