President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, is attending the Alamein Africa Forum in the Egyptian city of New Alamein, which officially opens today.
The forum is being opened by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, with a focus on strengthening economic cooperation among African countries, promoting investment, expanding trade, and accelerating the continent’s development.
President Hassan Sheikh, along with African leaders and representatives, is discussing investment opportunities, the expansion of trade relations, and ways to strengthen economic cooperation across the continent.
Somalia’s participation in the forum provides an opportunity for the country to showcase its investment opportunities, particularly in the areas of the economy, trade, and infrastructure development, while strengthening Somalia’s economic relations with other African countries.
During his stay in New Alamein, President Hassan Sheikh is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with Egyptian officials and other leaders attending the forum.
The meetings will focus on strengthening relations between Somalia and Egypt and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
