The Somali National Army has taken full control of Balad-Hawo town in the Gedo region after nearly 10 days of fighting. Key government facilities, including the Intelligence Headquarters, District Commissioner’s office, Immigration Center, and Police Station, are now under federal control. Communication and electricity services, previously cut off by Jubaland forces, have also been restored.
