A report published by The New York Times, citing intelligence sources, said that since the beginning of August, Iran has carried out nearly 30 drone attacks and 10 missile attacks against ships each week.
Over the past 10 days, at least four commercial vessels have been attacked.
Meanwhile, the British Navy said it has recorded at least 13 vessels hit by missiles or damaged by attacks since September 10.
